Spring Onions - 10
- Small Onion - 5 to 7 (chopped)
- Green chilli – 1 (chopped)
- Thoor Dal (Yellow split peas) - ¼ cup
- Chilli powder - ¼ teaspoon
- Cumin powder - 1 pinch
- Curry masala powder - 1 teaspoon
- Dry mango powder - ½ teaspoon
- Mustard - ¼ teaspoon
- Oil - 2 dessert spoon
- Ghee - 1 teaspoon
- Salt to taste
- Water as required

Wash the spring onions. Chop them to 1 inch long sizes.

Cook thoor dal in a pressure cooker until the 3rd whistle.

Heat oil in a pan and crackle mustard. Add small onions, green chilli and ginger garlic paste.

Stir well until it becomes light brown.

Add the spring onions and sauté well for 1 minute. Add to it all ingredients from chilli powder to dry mango powder.

Stir well; add little water, cover and cook for a couple of minutes.

Add thoor dal, mix well and add required water.

Boil well; once done, pour ghee over it.

Best served with roti.
